Margaret Eby

Margaret Eby is currently the Deputy Food Director at The Philadelphia Inquirer, and has previously held a position as Senior Editor at MyRecipes, Food & Wine and Food52. Her work has also appeared in The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, New York Magazine and The New York Review of Books, and she has written two books.

Experience

Margaret Eby graduated from New York University in 2011 with a M.A. in Cultural Reporting and Criticism, and published her first book, “Rock and Roll Baby,” in 2012. After several years of freelance writing and entertainment reporting for well established magazines, she joined Meredith Corporation as the editor of Extra Crispy in 2016, where she first entered the food editorial space. Since then, she has been the Senior Editor at MyRecipes, Food & Wine and Food52, and currently serves as the Deputy Food Editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer. In 2015, she also released another book entitled, “South Toward Home: Travels In Southern Literature.”

Education

Bachelors at Barnard College and Master's of Arts at New York University.
