Jodie Kautzmann is an editor, baker, and confectioner with more than 15 years of experience in content creation, recipe development, and pastry production. She's obsessed with the fine details and ingredients that take dishes from tasty to outright otherworldly.

Experience

Jodie has held various positions in roles across her field, working in advertising, music journalism, and TV/film production, all the while filling up her kitchen with sweet aromas emanating from her oven. She's also developed recipes and prepared pastries for catered events and a few of her favorite Los Angeles eateries. These days, she spends her kitchen time taking on the challenge of translating beloved candies and desserts made with traditional ingredients into their most delicious, undetectably plant-based versions.

Education

Jodie Kautzmann received her Bachelor's in Journalism and Strategic Communications from the University of Kansas, then went on to complete the baking and patisserie program at the California School of Culinary Arts. She's always looking to enhance her culinary knowledge by continuing to take classes in bean-to-bar chocolate, fermented nut cheeses, and more.
