Krispy Kreme simply can't stop — won't stop — coming out with limited-edition, seasonal doughnuts. Just last week, the company dropped some adorable mini doughnut dots. And you know what? We're not mad about it. Because it means we get to indulge in a special treat. And this time, doughnut fans can get a little patriotic with their sugary breakfast.

Just in time for the Fourth of July, Krispy Kreme is dropping some red, white, and blue donuts with its Star Spangled Sweetness collection.

First is its specially decorated Original Glazed, which Krispy Kreme says comes "hand-dipped in white icing and decorated with patriotic red icing stripes and blue and gold sprinkles." Then, there's its Cotton Candy Sparkler Doughnut, which is another Original Glazed that's "hand-dipped in blue icing and cotton candy sugar and decorated with white and red buttercreme dollops."

There's also the Firework Cookies & Kreme Filled Doughnut, which Krispy Kreme explained is an unglazed doughnut filled with Cookies & Kreme, which is then "hand-dipped in red icing and decorated with a blue icing swirl and rocket candy piece" for a little added crunch. And rounding out the collection is its Chocolate Iced with Patriotic Sprinkles Doughnut, which is one more Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with "patriotic sprinkles."

Krispy Kreme is also rewarding those who show off their best all-American apparel. It's giving away a free Original Glazed to anyone who visits its shops wearing red, white, and blue on July 4. Yes, even in the drive-thru. And really, it's a great incentive to stop into a shop on your way to any 4th of July BBQs. Not only can you pick up an easy dessert to share, but you can get a free little sugar fix while you're at it. But, just like summer itself, this collection won't last forever. In fact, according to Krispy Kreme's website, these doughnuts disappear at the stroke of midnight on July 5. Though we're sure they have another special doughnut up its sleeve for whatever special occasion holiday comes next.
