The Napa Valley Wine Train is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. In honor of that milestone, it’s offering all-new holiday journeys through Napa Valley that are unlike any other they've done before.

In late August, the company announced its new Santa Train Jolly Journeys, running from November 30 to December 23, which gives riders plenty of time to plan their holiday visits.

The Santa Train allows riders to choose from four distinct railway experiences, including Santa’s Cookie Car, Gourmet Holiday Express, Jingle on the Rails, and the Very Merry Vista Dome.

“It’s incredible that the Santa Train is celebrating its 30th year, and the joy it brings to our community and beyond is really something special,” Nathan Davis, the general manager of the Napa Valley Wine Train, shared in a statement. “So many people look forward to this happy event year after year, and it has become a cherished holiday tradition.”

As for what each experience entails, the company explained that the 90-minute Santa’s Cookie Car ride includes, as the name implies, delicious hot cocoa and holiday cookies. The train will also be decked out in holiday décor while seasonal music rings out from the speakers, giving the full holiday effect.

The Gourmet Holiday Express train takes visitors on a dinner ride to remember. The company encourages guests on this voyage to come early to sip its seasonal hot cider and listen to the carolers at the station before getting on the train to enjoy the holiday menu. That menu, the company explained, includes three courses of “scrumptious bites and sweet sips,” which can all be enjoyed in the antique Pullman dining car.

Next is the train’s Jingle on the Rails ride, which also takes place in the Pullman lounge car. The ride includes a multi-course gourmet holiday dinner created by the train’s award-winning culinary team and even includes freshly baked cookies and cocoa. Finally, the Very Merry Vista Dome ride takes over the train’s Dome car, which is filled with holiday cuisine for guests to indulge in while riding in the observation-style dining car.

Perhaps best of all is the fact that riders can feel good about booking any of the journeys as the company plans to donate a portion of proceeds from tickets to both Expressions of Hope and The Napa Communities Firewise Foundation.

For these trips and all of Napa Valley Wine Train’s excursions, guests are encouraged to book tickets early to ensure they get a seat next to their travel companions. See all the available trips and book your journey at winetrain.com
