Abby Fribush is an Editorial Fellow at Southern Living since the summer of 2023. She writes and edits stories for the digital and print magazines about everything related to her favorite region of the United States: the South.

Highlights

  • She has been published internationally in Luxembourg's top lifestyle magazine, LUX WMN, sold all over western Europe.
  • She was the Copy Editor for Miami University's award winning fashion and lifestyle magazine, UP Magazine, for two issues and has been published in six issues.
  • She has been writing for print and digital magazines since she was in high school and has over 5 years of journalism experience.


Experience


Abby Fribush joined the Southern Living team in the summer of 2023. Born and raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia, she started writing for a local publication in high school and continued to grow her skills in professional writing.

Throughout college, she gained skills in writing in both the print and digital spheres, with experiences in managing a local magazine, copywriting for national corporations, and interning at an international magazine.

She has written about a variety of lifestyle topics ranging from travel to fashion to food. She is thrilled to be a part of the Southern Living team and excited to share all of the fabulous features about the Southern United States.

Education

Abby graduated from Miami University in spring 2023. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Strategic Communication and Emerging Technology in Business + Design. She was the Copy Editor for UP Magazine which was awarded Best Student Magazine from the Society of Professional Journalists. She also studied abroad in Luxembourg and interned at the country's top lifestyle magazine where she wrote for the print and digital publications.
