Amanda Stanfield is the Food Studio Coordinator and Recipe Tester/Developer at the Dotdash Meredith Food Studios. She completed her undergraduate degree in journalism and strategic communications at Hampton University. After graduation, Amanda worked in the nonprofit sector as a marketing associate for a global nonprofit organization for 3 years.

In 2018, she pivoted into the food industry and began training in fine-dining restaurants around Atlanta. Later, she gained her culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University and went on to work in a variety of kitchens from boutique restaurants to conference hotels.

Her work has been featured on Eatingwell.com, Southern Living, People.com, Food & Wine, and Allrecipes.com. As a true foodie, Amanda seeks out nutritious and unique flavors to inspire others to eat happily and healthily.

When she's not cooking up delicious recipes, you can find her lap swimming in the pool or watching a good sci-fi movie.

Experience

Amanda Stanfield has 6 + years of professional culinary experience, focused in large volume banquet cooking and management, fine dining eateries, patisserie, and Southern cuisine. She started out at one of Atlanta's premier French brasserie in the pastry department under James Beard nominee Chef Claudia Martinez.

Later she dove into hotel and lodging hospitality, gaining expertise in high-volume restaurants and events.

During the pandemic she branched out on her ow,n starting her own personal chef business and pop-up events around metro Atlanta. She specializes in special dietary lifestyles and restrictions for every health need imaginable.

Education

During her time in undergrad at Hampton University, Stanfield studied strategic communications, journalism, and leadership before she went on to work for one of the largest nonprofits in the world, United Way.

As she transitioned out of corporate marketing and events, she followed her natural passion for the culinary arts, gaining her associates degree in culinary art from Johnson & Wales University. During her time there she was the leader of her cohort class, earned her Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 2 certification, and restaurant management certified. She also gained a certification in Leading a Culture of Service Excellence from Cornell University.
