Jerlyn Jones has worked in the nutrition and dietetics profession for nearly 15 years. Jones has helped over 5,000 people improve their health including lowering medication doses, weight loss, and reducing symptoms and risks of chronic diseases. She has led over 20 grocery store tours, taught over 100 nutrition classes, and demonstrated over 100 cooking demos.

Jones is a registered dietitian nutritionist and owner of The Lifestyle Dietitian LLC, a nutrition private practice in Atlanta. Prior to launching her nutrition practice full-time, Jones coordinated and taught nutrition and wellness programs along with counseling patients at Good Samaritan Health Center, a faith-based non-profit health center in metro Atlanta. Jones is a former national media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has been featured in over 300 food and nutrition-related interviews in national print, TV, podcasts, and radio media outlets. Jones frequently speaks to professional and public audiences on emerging nutrition topics including food allergies, food intolerances, food myths, diabetes, and heart health.

Jones earned her bachelor's in Justice Studies, a master's degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University, and a second master’s degree in Nutrition Education from Columbia University Teachers College. She completed her dietetic internship at Columbia University Teachers College, and is a licensed dietitian in Georgia and a certified LEAP therapist.
