Katie Rosenhouse is a pastry chef and food writer with over 15 years of experience in the culinary arts. After working in restaurants and owning a bakery for nearly a decade, she transitioned to working as a recipe developer and online instructor in 2019.

Experience

Katie Rosenhouse began her career at Bouley restaurant in New York, and worked at Le Cirque, The Russian Tea Room, Geoffrey Zakarian's Country and David Burke's restaurants before opening Buttermilk Bakeshop in Brooklyn in 2013. In 2011, Katie won $10K on an episode of Food Network's Sweet Genius, and subsequently became the Culinary Producer for Seasons 2 & 3. Her first cookbook, French Bread Baking for Beginners, was published in 2022.

She's worked as a recipe developer since 2019 and a culinary instructor since 2020, including as an online instructor at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. Her work has been published or featured in Food & Wine, Woman's World Magazine, Brides Magazine, Tasting Table, Chowhound, Martha Stewart Living Radio, Chopped, The Today Show, The New York Chocolate Show, and more.
