  • Add your chuck roast to a slow cooker, no need to sear it first.

  • Sprinkle the Au Jus Gravy packet, Ranch seasoning packet, and Simply Vidalia Onions over the roast.

  • Cover the slow cooker, and cook on high for 4-6 hours, or low 6-8 hours.

  • Half way through the cooking process, if you need to add some liquid, add the beef stock.

  • When the roast is impossibly tender and falling apart, remove to shred. Return back to the liquid.

  • In a bowl mash 1 tablespoon of room temperature butter with 1 tablespoon of flour, until combined. Mix this into the beef and liquid to thicken the gravy. Allow to cook for 30 minutes uncovered.

  • Serve over rice, noodles, mashed potatoes, or mashed cauliflower.
