This chili recipe is the easiest around. It is delicious and sure to please everyone. Using home-canned tomatoes gives the best flavor but is not necessary. Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef

  • 2 onions, chopped

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 4 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes

  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano

  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans with liquid

Directions

  1. Combine ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large stockpot over medium heat. Cook and stir until beef is browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Drain and discard excess grease.

  2. Stir tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, and oregano into beef mixture. Break up tomatoes while stirring and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.

  3. Stir in beans with liquid from the can. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
