5 habanero peppers, stemmed

Directions

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add carrots, onion, and garlic; cook and stir until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Transfer vegetables to a blender. Add habanero peppers, tomato, water, lime juice, and vinegar; blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

Transfer mixture to a saucepan and simmer over medium-low heat until a bit thicker, about 3 to 5 minutes.
