Ingredients
-
1 (8 ounce) package bow tie pasta
-
¼ cup butter
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
¼ cup all-purpose flour
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
-
2 cups milk
-
2 ½ cups shredded Colby cheese
-
½ teaspoon prepared mustard
-
4 ounces cooked ham, julienned
-
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
-
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook bow tie pasta at a boil, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain.
-
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper; cook and stir until smooth and fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk in milk, a little at a time, then bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Stir Colby cheese and mustard; cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted. Remove from the heat and stir in pasta and ham. Pour mixture into a 2-quart baking dish and sprinkle Parmesan over top.
-
Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly and golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
