Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 3 apples - peeled, cored and sliced

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 ¼ cups vegetable oil

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch pan. Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt into a bowl; set aside.

  2. Combine apples and white sugar in a separate bowl; set aside. Mix brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla together until well combined. Stir in apple mixture, then flour mixture. Fold in walnuts.

  3. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
