White gelatin tastes creamy and is very moist, unlike regular gelatin. My family has been making this recipe every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas and it never gets old.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup white sugar

  • 1 (.25 ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin

  • cup boiling water

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cups frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and well blended.

  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; cool slightly, then stir into cream cheese mixture along with milk, lemon juice, and vanilla. Fold in whipped topping. Pour into a mold if desired, and refrigerate until set, about 3 hours.
