A Zaxby’s Fan Favorite Is Coming to Grocery Stores for the First Time

I don’t know about you, but we’re not likely to eat our chicken nuggets, tenders, wings, or sandwiches without some tasty sauce on the side. When it comes to flavorful sauces to coat our chicken sandwiches or dip our chicken nuggets, we believe more is more.

These days, the sauce game is strong; 2024 has been the year of sauced up chicken. KFC launched its Saucy Nugget—chicken nuggets coated with one of five flavorful sauces—in the spring. About a month later, Popeyes came out with its own version, Boneless Wings, one-upping KFC with six flavorful sauces. We could go on and on because fast food chains will serve practically any form of breaded chicken and variety of sauces to go with it.

That includes Zaxby's, a chain known for its crispy chicken. It, too, knows that the sauce is just as important as the chicken, with three signature sauces that its fans love so much, they go to great lengths to recreate them at home. But now, for the first time ever, they'll have another option besides drive-thru or DIY.

Zaxby's Sauces Are Coming to Grocery Stores for the First Time

For the first time, Zaxby's is bottling its core trio of signature sauces and putting them on grocery store shelves. The following sauces are included in the drop:

• Zax Sauce: A creamy, tangy sauce with a blend of signature spices. 
• Spicy Zax Sauce: A twist on the famous Zax Sauce with some added heat. 
• Tongue Torch Sauce: A hot sauce made with aged peppers, garlic, and mustard seeds.

Starting in July, they'll be available regionally in the South and Southeast at stores including Walmart, Kroger, and Winn Dixie, so fans who love to dip their chicken can do so anytime. If you don’t live in the South or Southeast, you can also get all three Zaxby's sauces on Amazon.

Once you get your hands on these sauces, try them on a "two-handed" crispy chicken sandwich or use them as a dipper for air fryer chicken nuggets or these top-rated chicken fingers. Zax Sauce makes an excellent French fry sauce, too—just sayin’.
