My husband and I just bought our first house, so, naturally, I wanted to go all out and decorate it for Christmas. The only problem? Those Pinterest-perfect holiday decorations I've been eyeing—like garlands, swags, bows and wreaths—are hella expensive. I thought I was going to have to move to Mount Crumpit (you know, the secluded mountain top just outside of Whoville, where the Grinch lives), until I stopped by Trader Joe's for a grocery run. There, I found everything I needed to turn my home into a winter wonderland. AND IT IS ALL SO CUTE AND CHEAP!! Read on if you're as excited by holiday decorations as I am.

Cypress Grump Trees at Trader Joe's

Grump Trees

First, in the spirit of the grinch, look at these little Whovillian cypress "Grump Trees!" How cute are they? And they're only $9. I'll take one for every surface in my house, thanks.

Garland, Wreaths and Swags

Live out your Pinterest-perfect holiday dreams with fresh and fragrant greenery from TJ's. The garland is just $8, wreaths are $10 and the swags with red bows are just $8. Now you can adorn every door, mailbox and porch light on your house (I already have!).

Trader Joe's poinsettias

Poinsettias

Poinsettias are a classic winter holiday decoration, which is kind of odd since they are actually from Mexico and thrive in the heat. If you live in a warm climate where the temperature consistently stays above 45°F in the winter, these would be gorgeous on your porch or lining a sidewalk. If you live in a cold environment, line them on a mantle. The big ones will set you back $13, and the little ones are just $4.

Rosemary Christmas Trees

Rosemary Christmas Tree Topiary

Rosemary is a hardy plant, and can thrive in most environments or even indoors. Plus, it's incredibly fragrant and useful in lots of recipes (like marinated veggies or yummy cocktails). But these little tree topiaries are so adorable, we don't know if we'd even want to trim off the herbs! Snag one for $11.

Ceder Balsam scented pinecones

Scented Pinecones

Not only are these pinecones a beautiful way to fill in your Christmas tree or create a centerpiece for your holiday table—they also smell great! The pinecones have been dipped in essential oils from cedar and fir trees to make your house smell like a holiday paradise. Snag a bag for just $4.

white pine soap and lotion

White Pine Soap and Lotion

This little set would be a thoughtful way to dress up your bathroom for holiday guests. Trader Joe's is offering their moisturizing hand soap and hand lotion in a "white pine" scent, and it's studded with impressive ingredients like argan oil, aloe and shea butter to help combat dry winter hands. Get the set for $6.

frosty ferns

Frosty Ferns

How cute are these little plants? They'd make an adorable hostess gift, or look sweet staggered on a holiday table. They're just $4 each.

Trader Joe's candles

Taper Candles

Whether you're lighting a menorah or just want to add a little sparkle to your holiday table, candles are a must-have for the holiday season. Snag this set of eight dripless, self-extinguishing tapered candles for just $3.

paperwhite bulbs

Paperwhite Bulbs

Paperwhites can get pretty pricey, but they're so special to watch bloom in the wintertime. They can grow on rocks or pebbles, and look stunning clustered together on your holiday table. Trader Joe's has done all of the work planting them for you—get a set of four bulbs in a rustic crate for just $10.

Amaryllis Bulbs

Amaryllis Bulbs

If you're looking for something a little more showy than paperwhites, pick up a few amaryllis. These flowers are festive with their big red blooms, and these come in wax to contain all of the water and nutrients they need to grow. Each flower is $8.

holiday scented candles

Candles

One of the best parts of the holidays is the yummy scented candles, and Trader Joe's did not disappoint this year. They have two scents: gingerbread, a comforting, spicy scent that reminds you of grandma's kitchen, and cedar balsam, which smells like a frosty winter forest (and yes, coordinates with the scented pinecones mentioned above). Each soy candle is just $4—a total steal.

Winter Berries

Winterberries

Looking for an easy holiday table arrangement? Pick up a few clusters of these bad boys and tuck them into a vase for a pop of wintery color. Each bouquet is $8.
