Dr. Cailin Heinze, V.M.D., M.S., DACVIM (Nutrition), is a veterinarian and a board-certified veterinary nutritionist. Cailin is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the nutrition specialty. As faculty at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, she taught biochemistry and pet nutrition to veterinary students for more than eight years.

Cailin is currently the executive director and chief academic officer of the nonprofit Mark Morris Institute (MMI), which provides pet nutrition instruction and resources to veterinary schools and veterinarians in North America and beyond. Through MMI, Cailin teaches at veterinary schools throughout North America and the Caribbean. Cailin also is a frequent speaker at regional, national and international veterinary conferences.

In her free time, Cailin loves to garden, cook, ride horses (dressage is her passion) and compete in obedience and perform pet therapy work with her Labrador, Lucy.
