Experience

As EatingWell’s former dietitian and nutrition advisor, Sylvia Geiger worked closely with the culinary and editorial team to ensure that our recipes are not only delicious, but also meet the nutrition parameters we have set for ourselves. Sylvia worked behind the scenes crunching the nutrition analysis numbers to assign nutrition bonuses, carb servings and tags to our recipes and meal plans. She was an occasional contributor and she developed meal plans using EatingWell recipes.

Outside of EatingWell, Sylvia has been a lecturer in the Department of Food & Nutrition Sciences at the University of Vermont for more than 31 years, is past-president of the Vermont Dietetic Association and a chairman of the board of directors for Hunger Free Vermont.
