1 ¼ pounds green tomatoes, cored and chopped

1 cup chopped white onion

1 medium jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped

1 cup loosely packed fresh cilantro leaves, chopped

2 tablespoons lime juice

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon ground cumin

Tortilla chips for serving
Directions

Place tomatoes, onion and jalapeño in a food processor and process until mostly smooth, 15 to 30 seconds, scraping down the sides as needed. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and stir in cilantro, lime juice and salt.

Heat oil in a small skillet over medium heat; stir in cumin and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, 30 seconds to 1 minute. Scrape the cumin mixture into the tomato mixture and stir to combine completely. Serve with tortilla chips, if desired.
