Skillet Lemon-Garlic Salmon

This ultra-quick one-skillet lemon-garlic salmon recipe features plenty of lemony flavors from both zest and juice. Garlic adds a savory note.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • 1 ¼ pounds salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 4 pieces

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper

  • 2 cloves garlic, grated

  • Zest and juice of 1/2 lemon

Directions

  1. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle both sides of salmon pieces with salt and pepper. Add to the pan and cook, turning once, until both sides are browned and the fish is just cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove to a plate. Reduce heat to medium and add garlic, lemon zest and lemon juice; cook, stirring, until the flavors have blended, about 30 seconds. Drizzle the sauce over the salmon. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
