Ingredients for Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

Almost everything you'll need to make frozen strawberry lemonade can be kept in the fridge or freezer so the lemonade is ready in minutes:

  • Frozen lemonade: Keep some in your freezer so this comes together in minutes.
  • Frozen strawberries: Bring a fruity flavor and a jazzy pink color to differentiate it from your run-of-the-mill summer lemonade.
  • Sugar: Adds sweetness to balance any tart berry flavors. May not be needed if the berries are very ripe and sweet.
  • Lemon zest: Lends a lovely floral flavor of lemon that isn't biting.
  • Ice: To make this drink extra thick and chilled.
  • Club soda: Club soda adds a bit of sparkle.
  • Fresh strawberries and lemon slices: For garnish.

Can I swap frozen strawberries with fresh strawberries?

Are you making this recipe in the height of the strawberry season? Ripe, fresh strawberries can't be beat, but you will lose out on the thick, frosty result that frozen strawberries provide. For a similar effect, hull fresh strawberries and freeze overnight before using.

Can I turn this lemonade into a frozen cocktail?

There's no reason not to! Try adding a splash of rum or vodka to the mix, or any alcohol you prefer.
