A sweeter alternative to a mimosa for brunch, we love a classic peach bellini. While the drink is traditionally made with peach puree (and we give instructions for making your own below), to serve a larger crowd, setting out bottles of peach nectar and prosecco for a DIY bellini bar is a fun brunch option.

Learn how to make a peach bellini, whether you want to serve one or a crowd. This is one cocktail recipe you absolutely should master.

Ingredients In a Peach Bellini

As if being delicious wasn't enough, a peach bellini is also incredibly easy to make. For the peach flavor, you can pick one of two options, depending on your time and the season.

  • Peach puree or peach nectar: The classic peach bellini is made with fresh peach puree, preferably from white peaches. Read on for instructions on how to make your own peach puree, but if peaches aren’t in season, peach nectar is a convenient substitute (and easier when serving a crowd).
  • Prosecco or other sparkling wine: Not only is prosecco the classic choice for this cocktail, it’s usually budget-friendly. Feel free to use your favorite sparkling wine; cava or Champagne would also work well.

How To Make a Peach Bellini

A peach bellini is easy to make in a few simple steps. Here's a quick outline:

  • Step 1: If you’re making your own peach puree, blend the chopped peach, water, and sugar in a food processor or blender until smooth. You should end up with enough peach puree for 4 to 5 drinks, so pop extra puree into the fridge.
  • Step 2: Add the prosecco to a Champagne flute. Slowly pour in the peach puree and gently stir to combine.

To give your drinks a pink hue, add a raspberry or two to the blender when you prepare the peach puree.

Our Tips for the Best Peach Bellini Cocktails

While a peach bellini is a simple cocktail, a few smart tips will make it even better:

  • Chill out: Start with cold ingredients. Keep your peach puree or nectar very cold, and make sure your wine is well-chilled. This will help cut back on foam when stirring together the drink.
  • Pour slowly: When you're ready to pour, slowly pour your prosecco and peach puree to the glass, then gently stir when ready to combine.
  • To taste: Finally, feel free to customize the amount of peach puree or nectar to suit your taste! The best part of this cocktail is how easy it is to mix.
