Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tablespoons salted butter

  • cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup white sugar

  • ¼ cup prepared yellow mustard

  • 1 large egg

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • ¾ cup cider vinegar

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat; remove from heat.

  2. Whisk together brown sugar, white sugar, mustard, egg, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk in vinegar until well combined. Stir mixture into melted butter in the saucepan.

  3. Stir sauce over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes more.
