Ultimate Allstar Showdown: Winner Announced!

We’re harnessing the power of the Allrecipes Allstars, our 100+ super users, to help us find the very best way to cook all your favorites. From chicken wings to lasagna to empanadas, our Allstars are showing up with their top dishes and going head-to-head to prove their home-cook heroism in our Ultimate Allstar Showdown. Who will win? The power is in your hands to vote for the recipe you love the most!

With summer on our minds, we thought it would only be fitting to kick off the showdown series with a grill-off!

Here’s how it works:

• We called on our power users (the Allstars) to share their absolute BEST, SIMPLE, DELICIOUS, and most IMPRESSIVE recipe ever to hit the grill. They did not disappoint! 
• Our editors then chose four recipes they thought would be a perfect addition to YOUR grill. 
• Next, our Allstar community whittled the four recipes down to TWO and we’re now ready for a head-to-head grill off! 
  

Here's Where You Come In

The Allstars weighed in and it’s Ashley Elizabeth and her Grilled Tomahawk Steak vs Nosheen Babar and her Bihari Kabab. Two fiery, flavorful dishes that will surely shine at your next grill out. 

And now we need your help in declaring which dish will claim the #1 spot. We want YOU to fire up your grill and give both of the recipes a try. Once you have a favorite, it’s time to cast your vote on Allrecipes’ Instagram channel—but you only have 24 hours to do it!  Check out our Instagram story on June 25th, and vote for your favorite recipe. It’s that simple!

When the 24-hour voting period ends, the winning Allstar grill recipe will be announced on June 26th, and the Allstar will be crowned! What will they win? The Allstar who takes top prize will win $500 and grilling glory.

There’s nothing more quintessential to summer cooking than firing up the grill, and these two Allstar grilled beef recipes are perfect go-to dishes all summer long. Just imagine grilled meat perfectly seasoned, impossibly tender, and ready to be devoured. We love both recipes, but one must take the crown and claim its rightful spot as the #1 Allstar grill recipe. We asked you, our most savvy home cooks, to vote for the dish that should claim the #1 spot, and which Allstar gets to take home $500, and all of the grilling glory.

Our Allrecipes Instagram community of 2.2 million home cooks weighed in, we tabulated the results, and are excited to announce the winner. This dish is worth rolling out the red carpet for any night of the week! We guarantee this fool-proof grill recipe will delight your friends and family, and make you a hit at your next cookout. Hosting an easy-yet-impressive summertime dinner party is the inspiration for this recipe! A couple of summers ago Ashley and her friends started having grill outs on the patio. They would all bring something to put on the grill, and it was an easy way to gather and build community.  Serving a big platter of perfectly grilled steak makes it easy on yourself AND results in a wowza meal! Not to mention, the aroma of the goods hitting the grill might make any nearby neighbors want to come over and enjoy the fun, too! Ashley’s reverse sear technique plus flavorful compound butter ensures that her tomahawk steaks are incredibly juicy and tasty.

Bihari Kabab

Nosheen’s desire is for people to become more aware of Pakistani Cuisine. Each recipe has a history and countless personal stories attached to it. Pakistani BBQ recipes, which are also part of the country's popular and well-known street food scene, are among her favorites. During Nosheen’s childhood in Pakistan, her family would often go to their favorite restaurant called “BBQ Tonite” and enjoy a plate of Bihari Kabab, among many other menu items. After both her older sister and mother passed away, these memories became even more precious, inspiring her to try and replicate the childhood favorite they all used to enjoy together. Nosheen’s version of this beloved dish is tender, deeply flavored, and could be a new favorite for your grill.
