Ian Knauer was a food editor at Gourmet Magazine, where he developed recipes in the publication's renowned test kitchen, as well as co-hosted its award-winning television shows Diary of a Foodie and Adventures with Ruth. Knauer went on to create and host his own PBS series, The Farm with Ian Knauer, based on his life and work at his family's Pennsylvania farm, and later founded The Farm Cooking School in New Jersey. He has published multiple cookbooks, including The Farm (2016) and The Farm Cooking School (2017).

Experience

Ian Knauer spent nine years working at the world-famous Gourmet Magazine test kitchen, where he developed and tested recipes for the magazine and book divisions. He also worked in the test kitchens of Food Network and Food & Wine, among others. His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Bon Appétit, Short Stack Editions, Everyday Food, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Men's Health, Men's Journal, Details, and The Art of Eating. After traveling the world for almost a decade for Gourmet, Ian returned to his family's Pennsylvania farm where he rediscovered and revitalized his family's local traditions — this became the inspiration for his PBS series, cookbooks, and ultimately his cooking school.
