Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 mint leaves, plus 1 mint sprig

  • 3/4 ounce Velvet Falernum (clove-spiced liqueur)

  • Ice cubes, plus crushed ice

  • 1 1/2 ounces bourbon

  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice

  • 3 dashes of peach bitters

  • 1 pineapple spear

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves with the Velvet Falernum. Add ice cubes and the bourbon, lemon juice and bitters and shake well. Strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice and stir until the outside of the glass begins to frost. Rub the rim of the glass with the pineapple spear, then garnish with the pineapple spear and mint sprig.
