I've always loved pomegranates, in all of their forms. Growing up, pomegranate molasses was a staple at our dinner table — it makes for a wonderfully tart, acidic component in salad dressings, and I've also been known to drizzle some over a bowl of olive oil or on top of hummus. Similarly, I'll eat pomegranate seeds out of a bowl with a spoon and love dipping them into melted chocolate for a sweet treat. This drink gives one of my favorite fall fruits the spritz treatment. Ingredients

  • 1 ounce pomegranate juice (such as POM)

  • 2 ounces Campari

  • Prosecco (to top off)

  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup (for garnish)

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Pour simple syrup and cinnamon sugar into two shallow dishes. Gently coat the rim of the glass by dipping and turning in the simple syrup, followed by the cinnamon sugar.

  2. Add ice, pomegranate juice, and Campari to rimmed wine glass. Stir to combine. Top with Prosecco as desired.
