France Cevallos

France was born and raised in the small northern Canadian town of Terrace Bay, Ontario. Being raised in a French Canadian family, she grew up eating a lot of traditional French Canadian foods. A self-taught cook, her love of cooking began in her early years, with memories of keeping a stack of cookbooks next to her bed for her "bedtime reading." She moved to the U.S. in 2002 and has lived in several regions of the country, including the Southwest (Arizona), West Coast (California) and Midwest (Michigan and Illinois). This was a huge influence for France in learning new regional cuisines and cooking techniques.  She is one of the original Allrecipes Allstars since 2011 and has been using the site since the late 1990s.  She regularly develops recipes for Allrecipes.com and loves grilling and smoking different foods, as well as experimenting with craft cocktails. She enjoys food photography and cooking for family, friends, and coworkers.
